A report from Sulamit Pedrassoli who organised a 25th June 2011 Solemnity to Our Lady
Yesterday we had our solemnity :
The altar was delicately decorated with white flowers from the country (no money for white roses as I would have wanted this year ...as have had in past solemnities).... then at the end we released 30 beautiful spot white doves, each dove representing one year of apparitions ! Father José Florentino blessed the doves before release -
Beginning with the entrance procession all Zdravo Krajlice Mira etc. So lovely -
Then we had an hour´s lovely Adoration of Father Slavko´s adoration prayers by Father José Florentino -
Then we had a very lovely solemn mass celebrated by Monsenhor (here in Brazil before being a Bishop) Paulo who is the parish priest of the Saint John Britto´s church. The same choir played and sang at this mass. It was at this church in September 2001 that there was an apparition with Vicka on her last Brazilian trip.
We ended by releasing 30 beautiful white very strictly environmentally controlled doves in commemoration of The Gospa´s 30 years of apparitions!!! One white dove for each year of apparitions. (These doves are the special type bred by Ministry of the Environment special permission, catalogued and individually ringed by registered breeding farms so no fear of diseases etc.)
Each person was also given free of charge a Gospa medal (or more depending on necessity) which were especially made here in Brazil for this occasion and taken to Medjugorje to be especially blessed for our solemnity.
